MOMOI KAORI
At 50, life began again for this established actress.
Ever since I went for a particularly difficult shoot in the African desert with a bottle of Facial Treatment Essence, SK-II has been my companion through many challenges, even up to this day. In fact, I’d say SK-II helped me make an important transition in my life – the decision to go to L.A. and rebuild my career in the West. For a woman in her 50s, that was an important move.
Since then, I’ve acted in English, Chinese, Italian, and, very recently, in Spanish. I also explored some unique paths such as taking directorial jobs from time to time to complement my acting career. And now I’m getting offers to act in Latvian and French. One thing just leads to another and the possibilities are endless.
In your 20s, you search for what you would like to become with the talents you were born with. In your 30s you nourish that talent and explore how you could build a career with it. When you hit your 40s, you know how much you have become, but that should not be the end. It starts again from there and you have to start exploring other talents.
Living life in such a way, I have come to believe it’s not just your eagerness and enthusiasm that counts. It is about how vibrant, vigorous, or vivacious you look regardless of your age. People get inspired by the spirit and look you project. Yes, you age, but when you age beautifully and express yourself in a proactive manner, people will keep feeling empowered and happy and see possibilities in you, creating a chain reaction of positive effects. This is how to take control of your life and make miracles happen.
